I like big books and I cannot lie.
Two badboy London books I got via Santa's sleigh this year. Firstly - A London Year: 365 Days of City Life in Diaries, Journals and Letters.
People's personal accounts of the greatest city on Earth from back in the day to the present.
Includes this account of a fight witnessed in Temple in 1613. '... flew in upon him, and, getting him down, tore away all his Eyebrow with his teeth, and then seizing on his Nose, tore away all of it, and carried it away in his pocket'.
As u do.
Then this mighty tome: Panoramas of Lost London. This book is fucking beautiful. This book is fucking huge. Almost A3 in size with detailed black and white photographs of mostly lost London from 1870 - 1945. If u like pictures of old and particularly poor London, this is the muvafucking one.
